Please explain in the area below why an STA is necessary:

This regards a request by Broad Comm, Inc. (Broad Comm) to amend a previously granted STA (File number: 0671-EX-ST-2013, Call sign: WF9XVU) to add additional frequencies and equipment. The additional request is to allow use of 6 additional UHF frequencies to provide logistical support communications and 8 frequencies in the 2 GHz range for the purpose of providing portable video coverage of the event (2013 FORMULA 1 UNITED STATES GRAND PRIX at the Circuit of The Americas race track Austin, TX) for the period of November 8 through November 17, 2013. The FCC has granted Broad Comm and others similar requests for several previous events. The number of frequencies and units requested is the minimum to satisfy the needs of this activity. (Please note that the originally authorized equipment and frequencies are also included in this request to insure that the STA covers all required frequencies).
