Please explain in the area below why an STA is necessary:
This regards a request by Broad Comm, Inc. (Broad Comm) for Special Temporary Authority (STA) to allow use of frequencies 2170 and 2505 MHz. The purpose is to test a new video capture system (similar to the system described in our previous requests for 2.2 GHz frequencies) at National Hockey League (NHL) venues for the period of February 1 through February 28, 2017. A schedule of the dates and time of operation at each venue has been attached. The units will operate only inside the venues listed in this application with a maximum ERP of 50 mW. Broad Comm provides radio frequency support services to various entities at major events. The FCC has granted Broad Comm and others similar requests for numerous previous events.
