Request for Extension of Special Temporary Authority The International Bureau previously granted the request filed by O3b Limited (“O3b”) for special temporary authority (“STA”) to conduct tests using two 1.2m earth stations via the O3b satellite system at the O3b facility in Bristow, VA 1 and extended the STA through December 21, 2014. 2 Pursuant to Section 25.120 of the Commission’s rules, 3 O3b hereby requests a further extension of its STA covering the 180-day period between December 22, 2014, and June 20, 2015. O3b’s extension request is supported by good cause. An extension will enable O3b to continue its testing and evaluation of O3b services that could benefit the U.S. Department of Defense. By granting O3b’s initial STA request, the Bureau already has found that facilitating these activities is in the public interest.
