(“SES”), hereby clarifies that the primary purpose of the above-referenced request for Special Temporary Authority (“STA”) is to enable TT&C for AMC-7 to be transferred to KA272 pending repairs to one of the regular antennas used for AMC-7 TT&C (6423.5 MHz telecommand; 4199.5 MHz & 3700.5 MHz telemetry). See File No. SAT-MOD-19981023-00074 (Call Sign S2155), Technical Appendix at 1 (granted in DA 00-2096, rel. Sep. 13, 2000). SES is also seeking an authority to use AMC-7 for potential customer traffic during the STA period, but clarifies that there is no customer traffic at this time that needs to be transferred to KA272. SES’s customers are using their own antennas to access the satellite and will not be affected by the use of KA272 for TT&C. Please address any questions concerning this submission to the undersigned.
