EXPEDITED ACTION REQUESTED by August 7, 2014. SES Americom respectfully requested grant of a 30-day STA to begin on August 7, 2014, to operate KA272 with the AMC-7 satellite at 137W in the conventional C-band. KA272 is currently authorized to operate in these frequencies in the coordinated satellite arc 170W to 188W. SES Americom has submitted a Modification application to expand the coordinated arc of KA272 to 131W to 188W, and has completed terrestrial coordination for such an expansion (see Submission ID IB2014001580, filed Aug. 1, 2014). As a result, there is no risk of harmful interference. Expedited action by August 6, 2014, is requested to enable AMC-7 traffic to be transferred to the KA272 antenna so that needed repairs can be made to the regular antenna servicing AMC-7. This traffic transfer must be scheduled around AMC-7 stationkeeping maneuvers to ensure no disruption to customer or satellite operations. SES Americom respectfully requests grant by August 7 to enable this traffic transfer to occur without any such disruption. For these reasons, expedited grant of the requested STA would serve the public interest.
