Explanation
Please explain in the area below why an STA is necessary:
Textron Aviation has a need to perform aircraft certification testing using a DGPS system that transmits correction data in the 225-235 MHz band.

Purpose of Operation
Please explain the purpose of operation:  The testing is required to certify that the aircraft avionics systems perform as intended prior to delivery to the customer. The transmitter is used to transmit Differential GPS (DGPS) correction data, and will be placed on airport property at each of the four locations requested. The testing is expected to take approximately 18 hours at each location, but that could be split up depending on the weather and other factors.
