Greetings. The undersigned is communications counsel for MRTC Motorsport Communications in
England. I filed on April 18, 2017 an FCC application for Special Temporary Authority (STA) for use of a
variety of radio frequencies, including a single, 4 megahertz bandwidth channel centered at 1535 MHz for
telemetry for an automobile racing team for testing. The testing would occur at the Circuit of the Americas
Motor Speedway on June 13 through 15, 2017. It would involve the emission designator 4M00F1D and it
would have an Effective Radiated Power of 1 watt. Only one race team would use the channel for short
range telemetry between the cars and the pit crew.

The FCC has instructed that I contact you on behalf of my client and ask for Inmarsat's consent to use
this frequency range for this two-day course of testing. There is no intention to configure any such
facilities for regular use in the United States.

I am attaching a copy of the STA application as filed. The FCC file number is 0508-EX-ST-2017. Thank
you for your review of this request and should you have any questions or concerns, you may rely on the
availability of undersigned counsel.

Kind regards, Chris Imlay
