Please explain in the area below why an STA is necessary:
This application proposes the use of VHF land mobile channels and one microwave channel in the Austin, Texas area for terrestrial only testing of a two-way voice and telemetry communications system for racing cars in a private test over a three-day period within the Circuit of the Americas Race Track. The STA is necessary because the Williams Formula One race team uses land mobile and microwave radio equipment that is not licenseable in the United States for the purpose set forth herein, due to frequency ranges, and it is new technology under development.
