Application for Special Temporary Authority
File No. 0033-EX-ST-2019

PURPOSE OF STA AND FREQUENCY COORDINATION

The purpose of this STA is to further test an automobile racing communications system for voice
and telemetry that is in the developmental stage. The tests will occur at a single, three-day test
session in Florida at the Sebring Raceway. The system will be deployed at Sebring by the Jackie
Chan JOTA Racing Team and the Toyota Racing Team. The race teams will use the
communications system on a developmental testing basis on behalf of and overseen by MRTC
Motorsport Communications.

The dates during 2019 when this system will be deployed are February 5-7, 2019 inclusive.

The applicant requires VHF and UHF channels as specified in this application for duplex and
simplex voice transmissions; two UHF channels for telemetry and two channels, centered at
1540 and 1548 MHz for telemetry to and from the race vehicles.

The applicant has consulted the ULS database with respect to the VHF and UHF channels sought
and proposes what are believed to be unoccupied channels in the area of the Sebring
International Motor Speedway.

The “stop buzzer” contact on site on behalf of the applicant is Mr. Daniel Cox, whose contact
number is +44-0-1509-224-300 . If a local stop buzzer contact number is needed, undersigned
counsel will also serve as a stop buzzer contact with the mobile number specified.
