Subject: Question regarding pending STA 0645-EX-ST-2012

Hello Mr. Ghaffari

I understand you have been assigned this application. I have had recent conversations
today with Intel, they want to restrict the frequency range for the experiment to 1920-
1930 MHz UL and 2110-2120 MHz DL. This would avoid interference with Sprint's
downlink frequencies in San Francisco, but the experiment UL is in the T-Mobile AWS
frequencies. However, the experiment is very low power, 10 mW, and the expected
range is 20 m or less. All experiment radios will be activated inside the Moscone
Visitor's Center in San Francisco, CA:

NL 37-47-03
WL 122-24-05

I searched ULS to located transmitters within 1km of the Moscone center and did not find
any using the 2110-2120 MHz portion of the band.

Q1 Is this sufficient due diligence to allow you to issue an STA for the 10-13 September
event?

Q2 Do we need to inform T-Mobile that we will be operating in the 2110 - 2120 MHz
band even though that particular sub-band tower does not appear to be active at the
Moscone Center?

Q3 Is there a more accurate way than using ULS to determine what frequencies may be
used inside the Moscone Center itself?

Thank you for your attention to this matter.

best regards
