Directional Antenna Information

Directional antenna used for ground site located at 30 degrees 23 minutes 13.63 seconds North – 86
degrees 48 minutes 30.20 seconds West. Aircraft uses omnidirectional antennas. Beamwidth is 19
degrees

Orientation in horizontal plane

tracking system maintains directional antenna orientation towards aircraft. Aircraft operations are over
the gulf with exception to launch and recovery. As such, the horizontal orientation is almost exclusively
directed in the southern region out over the water.

Orientation in vertical plane:

The tracking system maintains the vertical orientation towards the aircraft. Standard operating altitudes
and ranges provide for vertical angles above the horizon of approximately 20 degrees at max, with the
majority of the duration at lower angles.
