Explanation
Please explain in the area below why an STA is necessary:
Applicant is a television microwave and communications equipment rental company which provides video, audio and communications for broadcast, satellite broadcast and cablecast of sporting and other events. Applicant has certain LTTS, BAS and private wireless licenses for this purpose. However, the spectrum demands at sports events, and the limited LTTS/BAS spectrum for these events makes it necessary to make coordinated, temporary use of additional channels in the vicinity of 1 to 2 GHz and TV channels. Such is necessary to have sufficient video relay from RF cameras at numerous locations at a golf course, or in arenas, as well as communications, while allowing normal ENG use of the BAS spectrum at the same time in a given venue. Applicant has coordinated all spectrum use requested herein with AFTRCC, which coordinates flight test telemetry operations on the subject channels.
Purpose of Operation
Please explain the purpose of operation:
Provide portable video, audio and logistics communications at the Tour of California bike race televised sports event.

The applicant hereby waives any claim to the use of any particular frequency or electromagnetic spectrum as against the regulatory power of the United States because of the prvious use of the same, whether by license or otherwise, and requests authorization in accordance with this application. (See Section 304 of the Communications Act of 1934, as amended.) The applicant acknowledges that all statements made in this application and attached exhibits are considered material representations, and that all the exhibits part hereof and are incorporated herein as if set out in full in this application; undersigned certifies that all statements in this application are true, complete and correct to the best of his/her knowledge and belief and are made in good faith.
