Washington, D.C. 20054 Re: Transfer of Control of Earth Station E000160 et al., File No. SES—T/C— 20061128—02052 Request for Extension of Consummation Period Dear Ms. Dortch: Global Crossing Limited ("GCL") and Impsat Fiber Networks, Inc. ("Impsat") respectfully request that the period authorized for completing the closing of the above—referenced transfer of control be extended for an additional 60 days. On November 28, 2006, GCL and Impsat filed an application seeking Commission consent to the transfer of control of Impsat‘s wholly owned Commission—licensed U.S. subsidiary, Impsat USA, Inc. ("Impsat USA"), to GCL. The Commission granted consent to the transfer of control of Impsat USA‘s earth station authorizations effective February 8, 2007. Since additional time is needed to complete this transaction, GCL and Impsat respectfully request an additional 60 days to consummate this transfer of control.
