               Hagerstown, Maryland Earth Station KA258

Dear Ms. Dortch:

Intelsat License LLC (“Intelsat”) herein requests an additional 60 days of Special Temporary Authority
(“STA”)1 previously granted to Intelsat2 to use its Hagerstown, Maryland Ku-band earth station (Call
Sign KA258) to provide telemetry, tracking, and command (“TT&C”) services for Galaxy 11 (Call Sign
S2253) at its permanent location of 93.1° W.L.3 Intelsat has a pending license application for this
antenna to add Galaxy 11 as a point of communication.4

The Galaxy 11 TT&C operations will continue to be performed using the following frequencies:
14000.5 MHz and 14498.5 MHz in the uplink; and 11701.0 MHz and 11702.0 MHz in the downlink.
The operations at 93.1° W.L. will be consistent with Intelsat’s coordination agreements for the location.

In further support of this request, Intelsat incorporates by reference the technical information found in its
pending application.5 In the extremely unlikely event that harmful interference should occur due to
transmissions to or from its earth station, Intelsat will take all reasonable steps to eliminate the
interference.
