Re:    Request for Special Temporary Authority to Operate a New Remote VSAT Terminal with
       Intelsat’s Mountainside, Maryland VSAT Hub, Call Sign E110013


Dear Ms. Dortch:

Intelsat License LLC (“Intelsat”) herein requests Special Temporary Authority (“STA”)1for 30 days,
commencing April 12, 2019, to temporarily operate a new Ku-band remote VSAT terminal with
Intelsat’s Mountainside, Maryland VSAT hub, Call Sign E110013,2 in order to communicate with
Galaxy 3C3 at 95.0° W.L. for a customer demonstration. The VSAT terminal is located Midland,
Virginia and the proposed demonstration is expected to take up to 60 days.

The demonstration will be performed in the following frequency bands: 14096.5-14123.5 MHz in the
uplink; and 11796.5-11823.5 MHz in the downlink. The proposed operations at 95.0° W.L. will be
consistent with Intelsat’s coordination agreements for the nominal 95.0° W.L. location. The 24x7

via the International Bureau’s Filing System.

In further support of this request, Intelsat incorporates by reference Exhibit A, a Radiation Hazard
Report. In the extremely unlikely event that harmful interference should occur due to transmissions to
or from its remote terminal, Intelsat will take all reasonable steps to eliminate the interference.

The proposed temporary operation of a new remote VSAT terminal will help demonstrate services to
a potential customer. Accordingly, grant of this STA request is in the public interest.
