All operations must be within the coordinated emission and power limits. 2. During the drift to the satellite‘s permanent orbital location 61° W.L., Intelsat License, LLC, will coordinate with operators ofco—frequency satellites in the drift path. 3. All operators of satellites in that path will be provided with an emergency phone number where the licensee can be reached in the event that harmful interference occurs. Currently the 24x7 contact information for the Amazonas—5 satellite mission is as follows: Ph.: (703) 559—7701 —East Coast Operations Center (primary); (310) 525—5591— West Coast Operations Center (back—up). Request to speak with Harry Burnham or Kevin Bell. 4. All operations under this grant of special temporaryauthority shall be on an unprotected and non—harmful interference basis. Intelsat License LLC‘s E060384, shall not cause harmful interference to, and shall not claim protection frominterference caused to it by, anyother lawfully operating radio communication system. 5. In the event of any harmful interference under this grant of special temporary authority, Intelsat License LLC‘s E060384, must cease operations immediately upon notification ofsuch interference and must inform the Commission, in writing, immediately of such an event. 6. Grant of this authorization is without prejudice to any determination that the Commission may make regarding pending or future Intelsat License LLC applications. 7. Anyaction taken or expense incurred as a result of operations pursuant to this special temporaryauthorityis solely at Intelsat License LLC‘s risk. 8. Washington, D.C. 20554 Re: Request for Extension of Special Temporary Authority Riverside, California Earth Station EO60384 Dear Ms. Dortch: Intelsat License LLC ("Intelsat") herein requests an additional 30 days of Special Temporary Authority ("STA")! previously granted Intelsat to use its Riverside, California Ku—band earth station—call sign E060384—to provide telemetry, tracking, and command ("TT&C®") services for the Amazonas—5 satellite during in—orbit testing ("IOT") at 58.2° W.L., during its drift from 58.2° W.L. to its final location at 61.0° W.L., and at 61.0° W.L. until handoff." Amazonas—5 was launched on September 11, 2017. Intelsat expects the IOT and drift to last approximately 46 days. The Amazonas—5 operations will continue to be performed at the following frequencies: 13999.5 MHz and 14499.5 MHz (Linear H, V, LHCP) in the uplink; and 12202.25 MHz and 11701.0 MHz (Linear H, V, RHCP) in the downlink. The operations will continue to be coordinated with all operators of satellites that use the same frequency bands and are in the drift path, or are potentially affected by these operations at the IOT location." All operators of potentially affected satellites will be provided with an emergency phone number where the licensee can be reached in the event that harmful interference oceurs. In the extremely unlikely event that harmful interference should occur due to transmissions to or from its earth station, Intelsat will take all reasonable steps to eliminate the interference. Grant of this STA extension request will allow Intelsat to help test the Amazonas—5 satellite. This, in turn, will help provide additional capacity from the 61.0° W.L. orbital location and thereby promotes the public interest.
