Washington, D.C. 20554 Re: Request for Extension of Special Temporary Authority Ellenwood, Georgia Earth Station E170086 Dear Ms. Dortch: Intelsat License LLC (“Intelsat”) herein requests an additional 60 days of the Special Temporary Authority (“STA”)1 previously granted Intelsat to use its Ellenwood, Georgia Ku-band earth station— call sign E170086—to communicate with Galaxy 13 (S2386) and Galaxy 17 (S2715) in order to test a new product.2 Intelsat has a pending application to permanently license this antenna.3 Intelsat will continue performing operations in the following frequency bands: 11.7 – 12.2 GHz and 14.0 – 14.5 GHz. In further support of this extension request, Intelsat herewith incorporates by reference the technical information previously provided regarding the operations of E170086.4 In the extremely unlikely event that harmful interference should occur, Intelsat will take all reasonable steps to eliminate the interference. Grant of this STA extension request will allow Intelsat to continue testing a new product.
