          Re:          Request for Special Temporary Authority:
                       2.Am Ku—band Antenna, Hagerstown, Maryland

Dear Ms. Dortch:

Intelsat License LLC ("Intelsat") herein requests an expedited grant of Special Temporary Authority
("STA")‘ for 30 days, commencing January 16, 2017, to utilize a 2.4m Ku—band antenna located at its
Hagerstown, Maryland teleport to provide communications with Intelsat 29e (S2913) in order to test
customer equipment. Intelsat expects to file an application to permanently license this antenna.

Intelsat is seeking to perform operations in the following frequency bands: 10.70 —12.75 GHz and 14.00
— 14.50 GHz.

In further support of this request, Intelsat herein attaches Exhibit A, a radiation hazard analysis report.

Grant of this STA request will allow Intelsat to successfully test customer equipment. This, in turn, will
help provide customer service and thereby promotes the public interest.
