Re: SES Government Solutions, Inc. STA to Communicate with O3b,
       File No. SES-STA-20140821-00668

Dear Ms. Dortch:

SES Government Solutions, Inc. (“SES-GS”), by its attorney and pursuant to Section 1.65 of the
Commission’s rules, 47 C.F.R. § 1.65, hereby updates the record regarding the above-
referenced request for special temporary authority to operate an earth station at MacDill Air
Force Base in Tampa, FL that will communicate with the O3b Ka-band non-geostationary orbit
(“NGSO”) satellite fleet in order to demonstrate the system’s capabilities. Specifically, pursuant
to further discussions with O3b regarding frequency assignments for the planned
demonstrations, SES-GS withdraws its request for use of the O3b beam 3 frequencies, 28.172-
28.388 GHz uplink and 18.372-18.588 GHz downlink.

The remaining frequencies requested in O3b’s beams 4 (28.601-28.817 GHz uplink and 18.801-
19.017 GHz downlink) and 5 (28.855-29.071 GHz uplink and 19.055-19.271 GHz downlink) are
within spectrum for which Ka-band NGSO FSS operations have primary status.

Please let me know if you have any questions regarding this matter.

Respectfully submitted,

/s/ Karis A. Hastings
