The satellite currently is located at 109.8° W.L.

Dortch September 4, 2012 Page 2 Grant of this STA further extension will serve the public interest because it will continue to allow for the safe station—keeping of the DIRECTV 1R satellite at 109.8° W.L." Moreover, grant of this STA further extension request will not result in increased risk of harmful interference to any other system. As noted in the original STA request, Intelsat‘s earth station is already authorized to provide TT&C services to DIRECTV 1R using the frequencies listed above. Intelsat will continue to operate the TT&C transmissions within the coordinated parameters in the earth station‘s license. In addition, DIRECTV has stated that it will coordinate with potentially affected satellite operators.* As such, co—frequency operations of other satellite operators will not be affected.
