Re: _ Request for Further Extension of STA to Operate a New 9.2m Ka—band
                           Antenna at Intelsat‘s Riverside Teleport

                 Dear Ms. Ddftch:

Intelsat North America LLC (Intelsat") herein requests a further 30—day
extensmn —— through June 21, 2010 —— of the Special Temporary Authority
("STA") previously grantedIntelsat to test anew 9.2m Ka—band antenna
located at its existing Riverside, CA teleport

A further extension is necessary because late delivery of critical antenna sub—
components has delayed the tests. Indeed, testing has yet to begin. Testing is,
however, scheduled to begin this week and, barring further delay, should be
completed by the end of the requested further extension period.

As originally requested, Intelsat will transmit in the 29500—30000 MHz bands
_ and receive in the 19700—20200 MHz bands. Also as originally requested, the
antenna will communicate with Galaxy 28 at 89° W.L. during testing. Galaxy
28 will be utilized for antenna gain patterns verification — transmitand receive
in both azimuth and elevation in both polarizations (linear and circular) —— and
                for cross—polarization patterns verification.

In support of this further extension request, Intelsat incorporates by reference
the materials submitted with its original STA request to test this antenna —
specifically, the detailed technical information (in Exhibits A—D) that
demonstrates that the operation of the earth station at 89° W.L. during testing

‘ Intelsat has filed its STA request, an FCC Form 159, a $175.00 filing fee and
this supporting letter electronically via the International Bureau‘s Filing _ '
                 System ("IBFS").
