                                    Vizada, Inc.
                      Request for Special Temporary Authority
                                     Exhibit 1

Vizada, Inc. (“Vizada”) requests special temporary authority to allow its
Santa Paula, CA earth stations with call sign KB34 to continue communicating with the
Inmarsat 2F1 satellite located at 142° W.L. This request is a renewal of Vizada’s most
recent pending STA (File No. SES-STA-20091230-01635) and which was dismissed as
moot on January 12, 2010.

Vizada believes the dismissal of the above-referenced STA was done in error, and
we are attaching to this application an email sent to Ms. Jeanette Spriggs on January 13,
2010 explaining Vizada’s position on this dismissal.

Vizada currently has an earth station application pending (Call Sign KB34, File
No. SES-MFS-20081029-01425), as amended, to add the Inmarsat 2F1 satellite at the
142° W.L. orbital location as an authorized Point of Communication. Vizada agrees to
continue to operate subject to the terms and conditions contained in the November 13,
2008 grant of special temporary authority (File No. SES−STA−20081029−01427).

Neither this STA nor the above-referenced earth station application is seeking any
change in the technical parameters of any of the antennas or related equipment covered
by the KB34 license. Rather, this STA only seeks authority for the 10.4 M and 12.8 M
C-band antennas to communicate with the Inmarsat 2F1 satellite, where existing lease
services are supported.

This STA is needed in order to ensure the continuity of lease services for Vizada’s
existing customers receiving service via the 2F1 satellite.

Grant of this STA will serve the public interest by ensuring that there is no
interruption in service for Vizada’s existing lease service customers. We believe that the
present circumstances satisfy the substantive public interest standards for an STA as set
forth in Section 25.120 (b)(1) of the Commission’s Rules.

Vizada respectfully requests that the Commission grant this STA for 60 days,
beginning March 3, 2010.
