                                    Vizada, Inc.
                      Request for Special Temporary Authority
                                     Exhibit 1

Vizada, Inc. (“Vizada”) requests a grant of special temporary authority to allow
its Southbury, Connecticut earth stations with call sign WB36 to continue communicating
with the Inmarsat 3F4 satellite at 54° W.L. This request is a renewal of Vizada’s most
recent pending STA (File No. SES-STA-20091027-01368).

As noted in our previous STA filings, this STA is not seeking any change in the
technical parameters of any of the antennas or related equipment covered by the WB36
license. Rather, this STA only seeks authority for the 10.4 M and 12.8 M C-band
antennas to continue communicating with the Inmarsat 3F4 satellite. The technical
specifications of the Inmarsat 3F4 satellite can be found at File No. SES-MFS-20071011-
01413.

Grant of this STA is in the public interest because it will ensure continuity of
service for Vizada’s many customers. Moreover, grant of this STA will not cause
interference to any other L-band operator and will not prejudice any interested party.
Vizada agrees to continue to operate subject to the terms and conditions contained in the
original STA grant.

Vizada respectfully requests that the Bureau grant this STA for a period of sixty
days beginning January 3, 2010.
