Federal Communications Commission Satellite Radio Communications The Portals, 445 Twelfth Street NW Washington DC 20554 Special Temporary Authority (STA) Request Ku—Band Transmit Receive Earth Station Cape Canaveral, Fl ITT Corporation requests a Special Temporary Authority (STA) to allow for operation of a 3.8 meter Ku—band earth station antenna to provide digital voice and data between the Range Operations Center at Cape Canaveral Air Force Station and the Launch Area support ship located off the east coast of Florida in support of Navy operations. Each earth station will transmit and receive the same links, one being a redundant backup to the other. ITT Corporation requests operations to begin from this location on December 18, 2008 for a period of 60 days. The permanent application for this facility has been submitted 1B2008002951. Antenna Complies with 25.209. ALSAT satellites will be utilized.
