The request of Deere & Company (Deere) for special temporary authority (STA) IS GRANTED.
Accordingly, Deere‘s existing network of 10,000 receive—only mobile earth stations (Call Sign EO10011)
is authorized to receive a 2.5 kHz downlink carrier from the Inmarsat—3F4 satellite at the 142° W.L.
orbital location with a center frequency 1535.1525 MHz for a period of 60 days, beginning February 26,
2008 and ending April 26, 2008, in accordance with the terms, conditions, and technical specifications set
forth in the Commission‘s rule‘s and this document.

1. As a result of the operations authorized by this STA, the aggregate downlink EIRP density at any
geographical point within the United States from all Inmarsat satellites, shall not be increased, above
    the levels currently authorized.

Operations on the Inmarsat 3F4 satellite at 142° W.L. shall be on an unprotected basis. Deere shall
not claim protection from, and is required to accept interference from, other lawfully operating
satellites or radiocommunication systems. Further, Deere shall terminate operations upon notification
of harmful interference into other lawfully operating satellites or radiocommunication systems.

This STA is for back—up purposes only. Operations pursuant to this authorization are permitted only
in cases of emergency to its operations authorized in IBFS File No. SES—LIC—20010112—00051.

Adequate guard bands shall be provided between the band edges of the carriers used by Deere and the
band edges of Mobile Satellite Venture‘s operations in order to preclude the possibility of
    unacceptable interference to MSV‘s operations.

Any action taken or expense incurred as a result of operations pursuant to this special temporary
authority is solely at Deere‘s ownrisk.

The grant of this STA is not based on a finding that Inmarsat‘s L—band operations are consistent with
    operation on a non—interference basis.

The grant of this STA is without prejudice to any future determination that the Commission may
make as to whether Inmarsat‘s L—band operations are consistent with operation on a non—interference
    basis.

This STA may be terminated or modified at the International Bureau‘s discretion, without a hearing, if
    conditions warrant.

This grant is issued pursuant to Section 0.261 of the Commission‘s rules on delegated authority, 47
    C.E.R. § 0.261, and is effective immediately.

. Authority granted in this STA is without prejudice to the disposition of any related applications for
    regular authority.

. This authorization is not one relating to an "activity of a continuing nature" for purposes of Section
1.62 of the Commission‘s rules and Section 558(c) of the Administrative Procedure Act.
Continuation of operations beyond the 60 day term of this authorization will require prior affirmative
