  Dear Ms. Dortch:

           Lockheed Martin Corporation ("Lockheed Martin"), licensee of an earth station (Call
  Sign E970322) at Clarksburg, Maryland, hereby informs the Commission that the earth station
  with Call Sign E970322 permanently ceased operations on July 29, 2007. Please accept this
  letter as confirmation of Lockheed Martin‘s surrender of the license for Call Sign E970322.

          As a consequence of the surrender of the above—referenced license, Lockheed Martin
  hereby withdraws its pending application for a six—month special temporary authorization
  ("STA") to operate the subject earth station with the Inmarsat 3 F4 satellite at 142° W .L.
  (Application of Lockheed Martin Corporation, File No. SES—STA—20070412—00473 (filed April
  12, 2007).

          As an additional consequence of the surrender of the license for Call Sign E970322,
  Lockheed Martin informs the Commission that its pending July 13, 2007 application to extend its
  STA to operate the subject earth station with the Inmarsat 3 F4 satellite at 142° W.L. for the 30—
  day period commencing on July 20, 2007 (File No. SES—STA—20070713—00940) must remain in
  place, but need only be granted to cover the period from July 20 through July 29, 2007. No
  further extensions of the STA will be needed.

         The original of this letter will be submitted into the file for Call Sign E970322 through
  the IBFS surrender module. Copies of this letter are being provided to the Commission by hand
  delivery for inclusion in the files of the two referenced STA requests.
