Madison Chicago, IL 60607 Re: Call Sign E060442 File No. SES—STA—2007041 1 —00470 Dear Mr. Argiropoulos: On April 11, 2007, the City of Chicago/Office of Emergency Communications (Chicago) filed the above—captioned request for special temporary authority to operate a 3.7 meter and 1.5 meter antenna and use conventional Ku—band‘ frequencies while its application for regular license authority" remains pending. On April 12, 2007, Chicago requested clarification‘ whether, under the granted STA request, digital data is permitted as well. ‘ We hereby clarify that under the granted STA, pursuant to Section 2.202 of the Commission‘s rules, 47 C.F.R. § 2.202, for the 4M00G1D and 4M80G1D emissions requested, digital data transmissions are permitted.
