        band payload on Intelsat Americas 8, a satellite to be launched before the end of this
        year by Intelsat North America LLC for commercial use at 109 point 2 degrees WL orbital
        location. Applicant requests this authority for a period of 60 days beginning upon the

12. Description

Applicant requests an STA for 100 of its consumer terminals to communicate with its Ka−band
payload on Intelsat Americas 8, a satellite to be launched before the end of this year by Intelsat
North America LLC for commercial use at 109 point 2 degrees WL orbital location. Applicant
requests this authority for a period of 60 days beginning upon the launch of the satellite, which
currently is expected to occur in November 2004. See File No. SAT−STA−20040914−
