CSC TKR LLC hereby petitions, pursuant to Section 25.163 of the FCC’s rules, for reinstatement of the registration (“Registration”) for station E930007 (the “Station”). The Registration was inadvertently permitted to expire on October 2, 2017. Section 25.163 of the rules allows entities to petition the Commission to reinstate expired authorizations if the petition is submitted within 30 days of the expiration of the prior authorization. This request is submitted within that period – the Registration expired on October 2, 2017. The Registration was inadvertently permitted to expire while an evaluation of the need for the Registration was conducted. That evaluation was completed shortly after the renewal deadline for the Registration – October 2, 2017. Internal procedures have been established to ensure that similar evaluations are conducted in advance of Registration renewal deadlines. The Station is used by the licensee, which is a subsidiary of Cablevision Systems Corporation, which in turn provides cable television services to the New York City metropolitan area. The Station is used to receive programming that is distributed to consumers. While no authorization for C-Band receive-only earth stations are required under the Commission’s rules (and therefore, the licensee has not requested special temporary authority to operate the Station with this Petition is pending), continued registration is desired to protect the Station from co-channel operations. Accordingly, grant of this petition and reinstatement of the Registration is in the public interest.
