Dear Mr. Nelson:

On January 9, 2006, the Federal Communications Commission
modified the existing Earth Exploration Satellite Service Non—
Geosynchronous Orbit Satellite System authorization held by
ORBIMAGE License Corp. ("ORBIMAGE" or the "Company") to permit
ORBIMAGE to operate the OrbView—5 satellite as part of its private
remote sensing satellite system.‘ ORBIMAGE hereby notifies the
Commission that it is changing the name of the OrbView—5 satellite to
GeoEye—1, as explained in more detail below.

As background, ORBIMAGE is wholly—owned by ORBIMAGE Inc.,
which is in turn wholly—owned by ORBIMAGE Holdings Inc. As part of a
corporate marketing and rebranding effort, ORBIMAGE Holdings, Inc.,
the Company‘s ultimate corporate parent, changed its name to
GeoEye, Inc., effective October 5, 2006. In connection with the
corporate name change, ORBIMAGE has changed the name of the
OrbView—5 satellite system to GeoEye—1. Therefore, please update the
Commission‘s files to reflect this satellite name change.

Should you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to
contact me directly. You may also contact ORBIMAGE‘s outside
counsel, James F. Rogers (202.637.2215 or jim.rogers@Iw.com) and
The ORBIMAGE remote sensing satellite system authorization permits Licensee to construct,
launch and operate the OrbView—3 and OrbView—5 satellites and associated earth stations in Dulles, VA
and Bartow, AK. See File No. SAT—MOD—20050511—00097.
