                                                 EXHIBIT 1

                                APPLICATION FOR MODIFICATION
(Response to FCC Form 312, Question 43)

Pursuant to 47 C.F.R. § 25.117, DIRECTV Enterprises, LLC (“DIRECTV”) respectfully

seeks modification of its Ellenwood, Georgia earth station authorization (Call Sign E930229) to

add three new satellite points of communication at the nominal 101 W.L. orbital location.

On August 28, 2018, the Commission granted DIRECTV’s 30-day request for special

temporary authority (“STA”) to drift its T15 satellite (Call Sign S2930) from its permanently

licensed location of 102.75 W.L. to 100.85 W.L. and to operate the satellite at 100.85 W.L.1

On August 30, 2018, DIRECTV filed a 180-day STA request to operate T15 at the 100.85 W.L.

orbital location.2 As described in greater detail in those applications, DIRECTV plans to relocate

T15 to fill a temporary business need for additional Ku-DBS (12.2-12.7 GHz (space-to-Earth)

and 17.3-17.8 GHz (Earth-to-space)) capacity at the nominal 101 W.L. orbital location. To

fulfill these objectives, DIRECTV plans to use its Ellenwood, Georgia earth station to

communicate with the T8 satellite (Call Sign S2632) and other DIRECTV space stations located

at the nominal 101 W.L. orbital location. Accordingly, on August 27, 2018, DIRECTV filed a

60-day STA request to add DIRECTV’s T8 (Call Sign S2632), T15 (Call Sign S2930), and T9S

(Call Sign S2669) satellites as points of communication to the existing earth station

authorization.3 By this modification application, DIRECTV seeks to permanently add the T8,

T15, and T9S satellites as points of communication to the existing earth station authorization.

DIRECTV certifies under 47 C.F.R. § 25.117(c) that the remaining license information has not

changed, and such information is incorporated by reference.

Grant of this application is in the public interest because it will facilitate the temporary

relocation of T15 from 102.75 W.L. to 100.85 W.L. This, in turn, will extend coverage,

improve service performance, and provide additional capacity to customers at the nominal 101

W.L. orbital location, thereby promoting the public interest. Accordingly, DIRECTV

respectfully requests that the Commission grant this application.
