Jim,

As you recall, Gelologic filed an application (File No. SES-MOD-
20060124-00090) to modify the license term of satellite earth station
E900081 to permit GeoLogic to operate its authorized half-duplex L-Band
METs that communicate with the AMSC-1 and MSAT-1 for an additional four
years, until July 2, 2010. No other changes are being made to the
license and all technical parameters shall remain the same.

We coordinated the application with you and received the attached
letter, dated February 28, 2006. The last line of your letter
indicates that the fourth condition is that the METs be capable of
preemption for maritime safety systems within no more than 10.24
seconds. Yesterday, we recently received a letter from Geologic
clarifying that all of the METs can be preempted in 10.34 seconds.
Please confirm that NTIA accepts "that all of the METs can be preempted
in 10.34 seconds."

Best regards,
