                                                        File No. SES—MOD—20000420—00658

Dear Ms. McClure:

On May 16, 2005, in Order DA 05—1345, we reinstated the above—captioned modification
application filed by Globecomm Systems, Inc. ("GLOBECOMM") on April 26, 2000 in
response to your Petition for Reconsideration filed on July 24, 2002. This modification
application is for a fixed satellite service earth station in Hauppauge, New York using the
Extended Ku—Band‘ and communicate with the HISPASAT—1C satellite at the 30° W.L.
orbit location.

Sections 25.114(c) and (d) of the Commission‘s rules, 47 C.F.R. §§ 25.114(c), (d),
require all space station applicants to submit all applicable items of information listed in
its subsections. Section 25.137(b) of the Commission‘s rules, 47 C.F.R. § 25.137(b),
states that applications for earth stations seeking to access a non—U.S.—licensed satellite,
such as the HISPASAT—1C, must include the same information as required in Section
25.114 for the foreign space station." We note that your modification application was
originally filed prior to the effective dates of these modified rules. However, we have no
technical information before us on which to make a determination as to whether
HISPASAT—1C can operate compatibly with other satellites authorized to serve the
United States. Therefore, in order to continue processing this application, we request the
following:

‘_13.754—13.79, 13.794—13.830, 13.834—13.870, and 13.874—13.910 GHz frequency bands.

       (1) All the information specified in Section 25.114(d) of the Commission‘s rules,
       47 C.F.R. § 25.114(d), including but not limited to link budgets or a two—degree
spacing interference analysis for HISPASAT—1C as required by Sections
       25.114(d)(7) and 25.140.

       (2) A Schedule S, as required by Section 25.114(a) of the Commission‘s rules, 47
       C.FR. § 25.114(a).

GLOBECOMM is required to respond to this letter, by amendment to the subject
application, not later than June 17, 2005. Failure to do so will cause the Commission to
promptly dismiss the application, pursuant Section 25.112(c) of its Rules. See 47 C.F.R.
§ 25.112(c).

                                            Sincerely,
