Ku-band Frequency Coordination Explanation It is noted that the Commission’s Rules for Earth Stations on Board Vessels (ESV) do not require frequency coordination for Ku-band ESVs except for operations in the specific frequencies which are the subject of 25.222(c) & (d). As explained in the response for 25.222(c) in Exhibit 1 the coordination required by that regulation has been completed with NASA and the coordination filed with the Commission for completion of the coordination process. As explained in the response for 25.222(c) in Exhibit 1 ASTRIUM does not operate any ESVs in the frequency band (14.47 – 14.5 GHz) covered by that regulation. Therefore, no Frequency Coordinations are being submitted with this Application.
