Response to Question 42 Foreign-Licensed Satellites EchoStar Broadcasting Corporation (“EchoStar”) is seeking authority to operate its Direct Broadcast Satellite (“DBS”) transmit/receive earth station with the Mexican-licensed, DBS satellite, QuetzSat-1. QuetzSat-1 at 77º W.L. Please see File Nos. SES-MFS-20110707-00793 and SES-MFS- 20110707-00792 for the information specified in 47 C.F.R. § 25.137 for QuetzSat-1 at 77° W.L. EchoStar’s affiliates, EchoStar 77 Corporation and DISH Operating L.L.C., have applied to modify their respective blanket earth station licenses, Call Signs E050196 and E090020, to add QuetzSat-1 as a point of communication.1 1 See File Nos.
