File No. SES-LIC-20160804-00720, Call Sign E160140 Notification and Confirmation of Commencement of Operations Dear Ms. Dortch: Satelites Mexicanos, S.A. de C.V. d/b/a Eutelsat Americas (“Eutelsat Americas”), out of an abundance of caution and in connection with Condition 2938 of the above-referenced blanket license (the “License”)1 and Section 25.133(b)(2) of the Commission’s rules, hereby notifies the Commission that the earth station terminal types included in the License commenced operations no later than December 31, 2016, and that they have been tested and found to perform within their authorized off-axis EIRP density levels. Eutelsat Americas also confirms that the terminal types will remain operational during the term of the License unless submitted for cancellation. Despite certain inconsistencies between License Condition 2938 and the provisions of Section 25.133(b)(2) applicable to blanket earth station licenses, this submission is made to ensure the Commission is aware that operations authorized in the License commenced within 12 months of the grant date. Additionally, although this submission was not filed contemporaneously with commencement of operations due to an administrative error, the License remains in effect given timely commencement of operations and appropriate payment of regulatory fees, and there is no adverse impact of accepting this submission at this time.
