Washington, D.C. 20554 April 10, 2008 Re: SES-LIC-20080306-00242 Clarification Related to Emissions Designator Dear Ms. Dortch: I am writing on behalf of Inmarsat Hawaii Inc. to clarify two issues in the above-referenced application with respect to an emission designator (i.e., 20M0X2D) listed on the Form 312, Schedule B on pages 14-15 and 21-22 in column E47. First, the emissions designator in the Schedule B includes the letter “O” (“20MOX2D”), which is a typographical error. It should be the integer “0” (zero). Second, the 20M0X2D carrier designation represents the Inmarsat navigation carrier. The signal is BPSK modulated by a spread spectrum ranging code and navigation message. The letter X represents the type of modulation of the carrier, which is a type not described in Section 2.201(c) of the Commission’s rules.
