Subject: Application SES-LIC-20001009-01909

Dear Ms. Ponti:
Thank you for taking the time today to telephone me with respect to the
above-referenced application for a receive-only earth station facility
authorization for New Skies Networks, Inc.
As you've requested, I have attached two files in Microsoft Word (.doc)
format:
1. A list of destination points for the satellites with which the earth
station is slated to communicate (i.e., ALSAT, INTELSAT POR, NSS-513,
INTELSAT 805 and, when relocated to the POR to replace the NSS-513
satellite, the NSS-803 satellite).

2. A Statement concerning part 25.137 of the Commission's rules, as
required.

A note in box 43 may have been cut off. Accordingly, I also note that this
site is within 10 miles of a grandfathered FSS site (KA-206) located at
37-45-1.0 N 121-35-34 W -- this is relevant for the 3650 - 3700 MHz band
only.

Finally, I attach hereto a copy of my original email to you and Ron Repasi
that notes the missing emission designator on antenna ID NSS-LIV-3 as point
3 of that email.

Thank you again for your assistance in this matter.

Dear Ron:

When we met the week before last concerning the issues related to the FSS
use of the 3650-3700 MHz band, I had mentioned that New Skies Networks would
be filing shortly an application for the use of this band at our
development-stage west-coast teleport facility. We had planned to file
using paper, but on request by Ms. J. Ponti, I opted instead for IBFS.

I am pleased to report that this application was filed electronically using
the IBFS on October 9, 2000 under file number SES-LIC-20001009-01909. The
applicant is our US teleport facility and FCC licensee, New Skies Networks,
Inc.

However, there appear to be a number of problems with the application data
as retrieved from the IBFS web site, and I'd like your help on the best way
to correct them (i.e., using IBFS, or sending in a paper correction, etc.).
I have written to IBFSinfo, but not yet received a response.
I noted the following items that require correction:
1. The application as electronically submitted included a specific
request to communicate with the following satellites:

ALSAT, NSS-513, INTELSAT POR, INTELSAT 805 and NSS-803 (when
relocated to the POR after launch of NSS-7)
On the electronic list, only the ALSAT designation is listed, not
the non-U.S. licensed New Skies satellites and INTELSAT satellites.
2. Although I entered 99 points of communication (countries) on a form
that indicated that "multiple copies of this data can be used" and
"validated" after each entry, only two points of communication are reflected
on the actual filing. What is the best way to supply the specific points of
communication associated with this facility?

3. On antenna ID NSS-LIV-3 (11.0 m, Vertex), although the emission
designator 45K0G1X was identified as being associated in the 3625 - 3700 MHz
band (receive only, linear and circular polarization), this carrier is not
reflected.
I would appreciate your guidance on how we can best amend the electronic
filing to reflect the appropriate changes. Obviously, New Skies would like
to get the public notice process and, hopefully, eventual grant of the
station license in the shortest possible time frame. Many thanks for your
consideration.
Best regards,

Andrew
