                        Assignment Application, File No. SES—ASG—20041025—01588

Dear Ms. Dortch:

       We represent USAirways, Inc. Debtor—in—Possession in connection with the above—
captioned application for involuntary assignment ofits earth station license, call sign E960086.
The Commission issuedits "Grant ofAuthority" for theinvoluntary assignment on October 29,
2004, and put it on public notice on November 3, 2004.

       Per my conversation today with Eleanor Lott of the Commission Staff in the International
Bureau, we are writing to notify the Commission that the transaction that caused the involuntary
Earth Station assignment was consummated on September 12, 2004 (the date that USAirways
Inc. filed for bankruptcy).
