SES—LIC— 20120426—00397, SES—AMD—20120823—00781, and SES—AMD—20150114—00008, Call Sign E120072 Dear Ms. Dortch: Inmarsat Mobile Networks, Inc., on behalf of it and its affiliates ("Inmarsat"), respectfully requests that pursuant to the Freedom of Information Act and Sections 0.457(d) of the Commission‘s rules,‘ the Commission withhold from public inspection, and accord confidential treatment to, the attached unredacted version of Inmarsat‘s Opposition to the Petition for Reconsideration or Clarification ("Opposition") filed by Iridium Satellite LLC ("Tridium"). The unredacted version of the Opposition contains references to specific terms of satellite coordination between Inmarsat and Iridium ("Confidential Material"). Thus, this information falls squarely within the category of materials listed in Exemption 4 of the Freedom of Information Act that are accepted by the Commission on a confidential basis and are entitled to confidential treatment under the Commission‘s rules." Section 0.457(d)(1)(vii) specifies that documents prepared in connection with coordination, including "documents and correspondence prepared in connection with operator—to—operator arrangements," are privileged and confidential, falling within the scope of Exemption 4 to FOIA 1 5 U.S.C. § 552(b); 47 C.F.R. §§ 0.457. 2 See 5 U.S.C. § 552(b)(4); 47 C.F.R. § 0.457(d)(1). 3 47 C.F.R. § 0.457(d)(1)(vii).
