("BSLD") (FRN 0003733318) and Sprint Communications Company LP ("Sprint") (FRN 00020316634 (collectively "Applicants") hereby seek Commission consent to the assignment of BSLD‘s interest in the submarine cable landing license for MAYA—1 ( FCC File No. SCL—LIC—19990325—00006) to Sprint that took place on August 11, 2006." ‘ While this authorization is currently listed in IBFS as held by Teleglobe Puerto Rico Inc. (Debtor—In—Possession) ("Teleglobe"), BSLD is a co—licensee. IBFS will not allow BSLD to make this filing electronically because the authorization in under Teleglobe‘s name. Accordingly, BSLD requests a waiver of the electronic filing rule, 47 C.F.R. § 1.10006.

Under the Commission‘s rules, Applicants were required to seek prior consent for the aforementioned assignment. To the best of the Applicants’ knowledge, information and belief, the failure to seek prior consent was inadvertent,. The assignment came to light in connection with the preparation of a notification filed on August 1, 2011 concerning an internal restructuring of AT&T Inc.‘s subsidiaries which involved, inter alia, in the pro forma transfer of control of BSLD. This application is being filed promptly upon Applicants‘ learning of the assignment and verifying the information concerfiing it. Applicants now seek Commission consent to assignment of this MAYA—1 interest." The Public Interest. Grant of this application will serve the public interest. BSLD no long holds any interest in MAYA—1 and is not serving any customers using the cable system. Sprint is, and was at the time of the assignment of BSLD‘s interest in the cable system, a co— licensee of the system. Indeed, Sprint was one of the original applicants. Consequently, Sprint is fully qualified to hold the interest transferred to it by BSLD and grant of this application will regularize the Commission‘s data concerning the ownership of MAYA—1. * The Applicants are filing simultaneously with this request an application to assign to Sprint BSLD‘s interest in the international 214 for the MAYA—1 cable system. and capacity of this cable system are matter of public record and will not change as a result of the proposed transaction. (7) The application is seeking to assign the interests as described below: There are no officers or directors of Sprint who are also officers or directors of any foreign carrier. Sprint is not affiliated with any foreign carrier.
