Re: Retirement of XM-2 (Call Sign S2119), File No. SAT-STA-20141017-00109

Dear Ms. Dortch:

XM Radio LLC (“XM Radio”), by its attorney, hereby advises the Commission that it has placed
its XM-2 spacecraft, call sign S2119, into a disposal orbit and asks that the Commission close
the IBFS license account for this spacecraft.

Deorbit maneuvers commenced on October 28, 2014, and final commands were also sent on
that date. The disposal orbit has a perigee altitude of approximately 335 km above the
geostationary arc and an apogee altitude of approximately 341 km above the geostationary arc.
The eccentricity is 0.000073.

In light of the satellite’s retirement, XM Radio requests that the Commission terminate the
license account for call sign S2119 in the IBFS database.

Please address any questions regarding this matter to the undersigned.

Respectfully submitted,

/s/ Karis A. Hastings
