("Hughes") is the licensee of the SPACEWAY 3 space station, Call Sign $2663. Pursuant to Condition No. 1 to the August 10 grant of its above— referenced request for a special temporary authorization to conduct in—orbit testing of the SPACEWAY 3 satellite, Hughes hereby notifies the Commission that the satellite was successfully launched on August 14, 2007 from French Guiana, and placed into geostationary transfer orbit. The satellite will undergo approximately 60 days of orbit—raising maneuvers before being positioned into its assigned orbital location at 94.95° W.L. Thereafter, extensive tests will be completed, and Hughes expects to begin commercial operations from SPACEWA Y 3 in early 2008.
