Pursuant to Section 1.65 of the Commission’s rules’ and the Supplemental Order issued
in MB Docket No. 03-124 on April 9,2004: DIRECTV Enterprises, LLC (“DIRECTV
Enterprises”) hereby requests that its pending application for authority to construct,
launch and operate an expansion system of direct broadcast satellites at 96.5” W.L. (call
sign S2242), File No. SAT-LOA-19970605-00049, be amended to reflect the de facto
transfer of control of The DIRECTV Group, Inc. (“DIRECTV Group”) (formerly,
Hughes Electronics Corporation3) from General Motors Corporation to The News
Corporation Limited (“News C ~ r p . ” ) . ~
