The final orbital parameters are: (i) Perigee = 379 km above the geostationary arc, (ii) Apogee = 580km above the geostationary arc. All systems on board the satellite have been turned off and the batteries left in a state of permanent discharge. Based on advice from Astrium, the satellite manufacturer, it was not safe to completely vent all of the fuel and oxidizer because the satellite was not designed for complete purging of the fuel system. To the extent possible, SSC expended the maximum amount of fuel to achieve a safe de-orbit altitude. SSC estimates that less than 1 Kg of fuel and oxidizer remains on board the satellite.
