Washington, D.C. 20554 Re: SkyTerra Communications, Inc., Licensee of Satellte Space Station $2663 IBES File No. SAT—ASG—20050826—00168 Request for Extension of Time to File Notice of Consummation Dear Ms. Dortch: On behalfof SkyTerra Holdings, Inc.(‘SkyTerra Holdings") and SkyTerra Communications, Inc. (‘SkyTerra" and together with SkyTerra Holdings, the "Applicants"), the parties to an application ("Application") t assign satellite space station license 52663 (*License") from SkyTerra to SkyTerra Holdings, this etter requests an additional 90 days, until February 7, 2006, to consummate the proforma assignment. On September 7, 2008, the Federal Communications Commission ("FCCor "Commission) consented to theproforma assignment of the License. Pursuantto Section 25.119(D of the Commission‘s rules, assignments must be completed within 60 days from the date of authorization. However, due to business circumstances unrelated to the transaction, the Applicants require additional time to consummate the transaction described in the Application. Accordingly, the Applicants respectfully request an additional 90 days to consummate the assignment as described in the Application.
