SAT-RPL-20121228-00227 and SAT-AMD-20131113-00132 Dear Ms. Dortch: On December 16, 2013, DIRECTV Enterprises, LLC (“DIRECTV”) filed a petition to deny or defer the above referenced applications, in which SES Americom, Inc. (“SES”) seeks authority to operate the SES-3 satellite in the conventional C- and Ku-band frequencies at the 103º W.L. orbital location. Specifically, DIRECTV requested that the Commission either deny the application or hold it in abeyance until such time as spectrum coordination arrangements sufficient to ameliorate the effects of SES’s past activities had been concluded. DIRECTV has been informed that, earlier today, the Commission and Industry Canada entered into such a coordination arrangement to address the spectrum usage issues between DIRECTV and SES at this orbital location.
