Communications System in yx lama- us&,aydy~ Orbit - Call Sign omItDatc! 2 i 7 0-z (or o~i$n&krr+j.+.&..&~~ ;+rod Further Amend Intelsat LLC (Y.ntelsat”), pursuant to Section 25.116 of the Federal Communications Commission’s (“FCC” or “Commission”) rules, hereby submits the following request to further amend the pending application for modification of its authorization for INTELSAT 603, which was submitted on April 18,2002 (“Modification Application”)’ and amended on July 3 1,2002 ;. (“Amendment”).2 The Modification Application sought Commission approval to relocate INTELSAT 603 from 24.5” W.L. to 178.0° E.L. The Amendment sought authorization to relocate INTELSAT 603 from 24.5O W.L. to 20.0” W.L rather than to 178.0° E.L. SAT-MOD-20020418-00063 SAT-AMD-20020731-00146; SAT-AMD-20020822-00159 Intelsat LLC was given special temporary authority, with conditions, to operate the INTELSAT 603 satellite at the 19.95” W.L. orbital location.’ Today, we grant Intelsat LLC’s request, as amended by its August 22, 2002 filing,2 to modify its license and operate the INTELSAT 603 satellite at the 19.95” W.L. orbital location, subject to the following condition: 1) Intelsat LLC will operate its INTELSAT 603 satellite in compliance with all existing coordination agreements. I See Requestfor Special Temporary Authorityfor INTELSAT 603, File No. SAT-STA-20020822- 00150, (stamp grant by Jennifer Gilsenan, Chief, Policy Branch, Satellite Division, on August 28, 2002). 2 On April 18, 2002, Intelsat LLC filed a modification application (File No. SAT-MOD-200204 1 S- 00063) requesting authority to relocate the INTELSAT 603 satellite from 24.5” W.L. to 178” E.L. On July 3 1, 2002, Intelsat LLC filed an amendment (SAT-AMD-2002073 l-00 146) to the underlying modification application requesting authority to relocate INTELSAT 603 from 24.5” W.L. to 20.0” W.L. rather than to 178.0” E.L. Intelsat LLC started drifting the INTELSAT 603 satellite and placed it at the 20.0” W.L. location on August 10,2002, pursuant to the Special Temporary Authority granted verbally on August 1, 2002. On August 22,2002, Intelsat LLC filed a further amendment ((SAT-AMD-20020822-00 159) seeking authority to relocate the INTELSAT 603 satellite from 20.0” W.L. to 19.95” W.L.
