The effective date of these actions is the release date of this Notice, except were an effective date is specified. SAT-MOD-20060717-00074 E S2673 DIRECTV Enterprises, LLC Modification Grant of Authority Effective Date: 11/29/2006 Nature of Service: Other On November 29, 2006, the Satellite Division granted, with conditions, the application of DIRECTV Enterprises, LLC (DIRECTV) to modify its authorization by relocating the DIRECTV 5 satellite (Call Sign S2673), a direct broadcast satellite, from its current location at 109.8º W.L. to the 110.1º W.L. orbital location. SAT-STA-20061121-00142 E S2669 DIRECTV Enterprises, LLC Special Temporary Authority Grant of Authority Effective Date: 11/29/2006 On November 29, 2006, the Satellite Division granted the request of DIRECTV Enterprises, LLC (DIRECTV) for special temporary authority (STA) to extend the drift of its DIRECTV 9S satellite from the 138º W.L. orbital location to its licensed orbital location at 101.1º W.L. by 15 days, from December 4, 2006 to December 19, 2006. In addition, the Satellite Division authorized DIRECTV to operate the DIRECTV 9S satellite's telemetry, tracking and command (TT&C) functions on the 17795 MHz (uplink) and 12695.5 and 12696.5 MHz (downlink) frequencies, for the 15-day period from December 4, 2006 through December 19, 2006 during the remainder of the relocation of the satellite from the 138º W.L. orbital location to the 101.1º W.L. orbital location. Dismissal SAT-STA-20061115-00140 S2392 Intelsat North America LLC On November 29, 2006, the Satellite Division dismissed as moot the above captioned application. In its filing, Intelsat stated that special temporary authority (STA) for an additional 60-day period was needed to operate the Intelsat 601 satellite at the 63.65° W.L. orbital location while its modification request (SAT-MOD-20060919-00103) to operate at that orbital location was pending. On November 16, 2006, the Satellite Division granted with conditions the underlying modification request to operate at 63.65° W.L. See Policy Branch, Actions Taken, Report SAT-00403, November 17, 2006. Accordingly, Intelsat's request for an additional 60-day STA is moot.
