                                        Satellite Space Applications Accepted for Filing
The applications listed below have been found, upon initial review, to be acceptable for filing. The Commission reserves
the right to return any of the applications if, upon further examination, it is determined the application is not in
conformance with the Commission's rules or its policies. Consideration of each satellite application in this Public Notice
may depend on the Commission's action on another satellite application earlier in the queue. Petitions, oppositions and
other pleadings filed in response to this notice should conform to Section 25.154 of the Commission's rules, unless
otherwise noted. 47 C.F.R. § 25.154.

PanAmSat Licensee Corp. has filed a modification application requesting requests for waiver of footnote NG 104 of the U.S. Table of
Allocations and footnote 2 of Section 25.201(a)(1) of the rules. PanAmSat seeks these waivers so it can provide service between U.S.
domestic points via its PAS-1R satellite, on a non-interference basis, using frequencies in the 10.95-11.2 GHz and 11.45-11.70 GHz
bands.

Intelsat North America LLC (Intelsat North America) has filed an application for modification of its Intelsat Americas 8 (IA-8)
satellite, authorized to operate at 89° W.L. Specifically, Intelsat requests a waiver of the cross-polarization isolation requirements
contained in Section 25.210(i) of the Federal Communications Commission’s rules with respect to the C- and Ku-band operations of
the IA-8 satellite.

Petition for Declaratory Ruling to be Added to the Permitted List


On April 27, 2005, Intelsat North America LLC, the owner of Intelsat Americas-13 (IA-13), an in-orbit satellite licensed by Papua
New Guinea, filed an application, No. SAT-PPL-20050427-00092, Call Sign S2592, announcing that indirect control of Intelsat North
America LLC was transferred (i) from Intelsat, Ltd. to Zeus Holdings Limited on January 28, 2005, and (ii) from Intelsat (Bermuda),
Ltd. to Intelsat Subsidiary Holding Company, Ltd. in a pro forma transaction on March 3, 2005. IA-13 was added to the
Commission's Permitted Space Station List on August 8, 2003. Loral SpaceCom Corp., Petition for Declaratory Ruling to Add Telstar
13 to the Permitted Space Station, Order, 18 FCC Rcd 16374 (2003)). The Commission subsequently approved a change in ownership
of IA-13 from Loral SpaceCom Corporation to Intelsat North America on July 16, 2004, pursuant to DA 04-357 (rel. February 11,
2004) (Application for Review pending). Satellite Policy Branch Information, Public Notice, Report No. SAT-00227 (rel. July 16,
2004). Pursuant to section 25.137(g) of the Commission's rules, the Satellite Division seeks comment on whether the transaction
affects any of the considerations made when the original satellite operator was allowed to enter the U.S. market.

Replacement Satellite Application (no new frequency)


DIRECTV Enterprises, LLC has filed an application for authorization to launch and operate DIRECTV 9S, a Direct Broadcast Satellite,
at 101° W.L. Operation of DIRECTV 9S will provide in-orbit redundancy for DIRECTV and improved coverage of Alaska and Hawaii.
DIRECTV has begun construction of DIRECTV 9S, at its own risk, pending Commission action on this request in order to complete
construction and launch of its satellite by the second quarter of 2006. (See File No. SAT-MSC-20050302-00079.)

Placing this application on public notice is done without prejudice to the Commission making determinations regarding the merits of
the proposal under pertinent Commission rules, including Sections 25.114(d)(13) and 25.148(f) (47 C.F.R. §§ 25.114(d)(13) and
25.148(f)).

Special Temporary Authority


DIRECTV Entreprises, LLC has filed a request for special temporary authority, for a period of 180 days, to (i) drift its DIRECTV 1
satellite from its current orbital position at 101.125º W.L. to the Canadian BSS 72.5º orbital location and to (ii) perform telemetry,
tracking and command functions over DIRECTV 1 at 72.5º W.L. for a period of time once the satellite is relocated.

In support of this space station request, separately, DIRECTV has sought special temporary authority to operate two earth stations to
direct telemetry, tracking and command functions in connection with the drift of DIRECTV 1 to 72.5º W.L. See
SES-STA-20050414-00455 and SES-STA-20050414-00456.
